ADHD and wellness consulting focuses on practical, everyday support for people with ADHD or ADHD-like traits. Also, it is for those who identify as a highly sensitive person or for people seeking general health support. From a nurse consulting perspective, this means listening to your needs and what you would like out of consulting.
From there, I will then develop a course of action and/or structured plan to aid you in meeting your goals with accountability responses from me. If you aren't looking for accountability or goal achievement- that is completely fine too. I am here to listen and/or educate from a holistic nursing perspective.
Maybe you are a parent to young children and are feeling overstimulated? Maybe you are an empath and a people-pleaser and it is burning you out? Stressed? Relationship or career challenges? Trying to get organized or motivated? Need a health accountability partner? Tired of not being truly heard at doctor's offices? This list goes on. Just like life, this service is not black and white. It is very customizable. Finally, this is not medical treatment, rather it is support from a professional, guidance and accountability (if desired).
With Consulting, once you inform me of your needs or desired outcomes of our time together, you are given clear strategies, expert guidance and practical recommendations you can use. Consulting is gently more directive. Many people with ADHD find consulting helpful because it provides structure, clarity and concrete next steps with the accountability piece.
With Coaching, it is more exploratory. You are guided to find your own solutions. It helps you draw answers out of yourself.
Both approaches can be valuable, depending on what kind of support you're looking for.
Therapy is for healing, processing and mental health treatment by a licensed clinical professional counselor or social worker. Nurse consulting is for empathetic listening, nursing-based guidance, practical support, education, and accountability.
No, I do not diagnose or medically treat ADHD or any other condition, nor do I provide medical evaluations. You do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to seek consulting services. People are welcome and encouraged to seek consulting services for support with ADHD traits, executive functioning challenges or feeling overwhelmed in daily life and more.
We can work on practical, everyday challenges like focus, follow-through, time management, routines, health, overwhelm, sleep, parenting, relationships, difficult life transitions, energy, nervous system regulation and building habits that will stick.
Sessions 50 minutes, typically 1x a week and followed by 3 follow-up accountability texts from me.
No, all sessions are virtual via video calls.
Each session is $75 and includes 50 minutes of focused consulting plus three follow up/accountability messages within a week. Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time but strive for that in the near future.
I intentionally kept pricing lower than many other virtual ADHD, consulting or counseling services (this service is not in lieu of licensed clinical professional counseling*) to make supporting you and your needs, more reasonable and attainable.
Not at this time. I have plans to obtain an additional certification, on top of my ADHD certification, that would make sessions covered by insurance.
Payment is required at the time of each session and services are non-refundable. While payment plans are generally not offered, I may consider exceptions in unique circumstances. Please reach out 24 hours + in advance/prior to a scheduled session to discuss if needed. All services are non-refundable once a session has taken place.
I accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) through SimplePractice's secure online payment system. Payments are processed at the time of service through your SimplePractice account.
I primarily work with adults 18+, including parents and caregivers, but I also work with teens ages 13-17, who engage in video sessions and participate in applying strategies and tools themselves.
Sessions for younger children are typically parent-focused, as consulting is most effective for those who can understand abstract concepts like "Plan your morning routine" or "Use a checklist for homework" and more.
Yes, I work with clients virtually anywhere. Please note that all sessions and follow-up communications are scheduled in Eastern Standard Time and sessions are conducted in English.
