Terms and Conditions

1. Nature of Services (Important Disclaimer)

 The services provided through this website include:

- ADHD education and guidance

-Nursing-informed suggestions, coaching and consulting

-Lifestyle support, skill-building and goal-setting

-Peer counseling and general wellness guidance

-Care navigation and triage-style guidance

-Accountability with goals


These services do Not include:

-Medical or psychiatric diagnosis and/or treatment

-Prescribing medications

-Clinical psychotherapy

-Emergency or crisis services


Information provided is for support, education and informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice. Always consult a licensed physician or qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns. 


If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. 


2. Scheduling, Late Arrivals and No-Shows

-Sessions are scheduled for a set duration (typically 50 mins)

-If you are late, there is no guarantee of a full 50 minute session

-If you have not arrived online or contacted me within 15 minutes, the session will need to be rescheduled

-Sessions canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a 50% session fee.  This policy helps ensure availability and respect for scheduled time. Exceptions made be made in cases of true emergencies at the consultant's discretion. 


3. Professional boundaries and Termination of Services

-The consulting relationship is intended to remain professional, respectful and within the agreed-upon scope of ADHD and wellness consulting. Clear boundaries are essential to ensure a safe, ethical and effective working relationship. 

-If concerns arise regarding boundary violations, inappropriate communication, requests outside the scope of of services, or if the services being sought are determined to be better addressed by another type of professional (medical doctor, psychiatrist or emergency services), these concerns may be discussed with the client. 

-The consultant reserves the right to pause, cancel or terminate services at any time if it is determined that the professional relationship is no longer appropriate, safe or effective, if boundaries continue to be challenged after discussion, or if the consultant feels threatened, uncomfortable, or unable to provide services within ethical or professional standards. 

-In such cases, reasonable notice will be provided when appropriate.


4. Privacy, Confidentiality & Use of Secure Platforms

-The consultant respects client privacy and is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of personal and health-related information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and best practices, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). 

-Limited documentation may be maintained for the sole purpose of supporting the consulting process. 

-Client information will not be shared with third parties without written consent, except as required by law or as outlined in these terms and conditions. 

-Virtual sessions are conducted through SimplePractice, a secure HIPPA-compliant platform designed for healthcare and wellness services. SimplePractice utilizes industry-standard safeguards to protect client information, including encrypted communication and secure date storage. 

-While reasonable measures are taken to protect confidentiality, clients acknowledge that no electronic communication or date storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. 


5. Mandatory Reporting & Safety Concerns

-While ADHD consulting is confidential, confidentiality has important legal and ethical limits. The consultant is required to report certain information to appropriate authorities when there is reasonable suspicion of risk or harm. 

-This includes but is not limited to:

-Threats of suicide or self-harm

-Threats of harm to others

-Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, dependent or vulnerable person

-Disclosure of ongoing or panned illegal activity that poses a risk to safety 


6. Scope of Services

-The consultant does not provide documentation or evaluations for Social Security, disability, unemployment, insurance claims or any legal government benefits or uses. 

-Clients should seek appropriate professionals for these services. 


7. Payment, Billing & Refund policy 

-Clients are required are required to provide a valid email address to receive SimplePractice Login information and account set up.

-Clients are required to provide a valid payment method which will be securely stored through SimplePractice. The consultant does not have direct access to the card information.  

-Session fees are automatically charged within 24 hours of the scheduled session, either immediately before or immediately after the session, using the payment method on file. 

-By scheduling and attending sessions, client acknowledge and agree to this payment process. 

-All session fees are non-refundable. Clients are encouraged to review the cancellation policy to avoid any charges for missed or late-canceled sessions. 


8. Communication Policy 

-Clients may contact the consultant via email or through SimplePractice messaging for all communication, with the exception of "Goal Accountability" text messages. 

-Up to 3 Goal Accountability texts may be sent by consultant in a 7 day period from last session. 

-Goal Accountability texts can be expected M-F, 9a-4p. If Goal accountability texts are sent from the client to the consultant outside of those times, the consultant will respond during the next available business day/hour. 

-The consultant will make every effort to respond within 24-48 hours during business days. 

-The consultant is not available for emergencies via email, text or call. In case of an emergency, clients should contact local emergency services. 


9. Technology & Session Expectations

-All sessions are conducted virtually through SimplePractice. Clients are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection, a private environment and functional audio/video equipment. The consultant is not responsible for interruptions due to technical issues. 

-If technical issues arise and cannot be resolved quickly for video call, we will resume via regular phone call. 


10. Termination of Services by Client 

- Clients may discontinue services at any time by notifying consultant. Fees for sessions already rendered are non refundable and future scheduled sessions will be handled according to the cancellation policy.

By reading the Terms and Conditions, scheduling a session, and/or engaging in services with the consultant, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
